About the Volunteer Role
If you’re someone who’s reliable, self-directed, and a little obsessed with keeping things organized... this might be your kind of role.
You’ll work directly with the Executive Director and in close collaboration with our Operations Manager to help manage the internal flow of dogs through our rescue programs. From tracking progress, routing submissions to ensuring updates are visible and accurate across our internal systems.
This role is ideal for someone who genuinely loves dogs, knows how to keep collaborative projects moving, and wants to make a meaningful impact in a high-trust, behind-the-scenes capacity. You don’t need nonprofit experience, but you do need sound judgment, follow-through, and the ability to think like a systems person.
Time Commitment
~2-4 hours/week (flexible & remote)
Check for updates and assignments 1-2 times a week
Join biweekly virtual leadership calls
You’ll Help With
Launch and Lead 1-2 new programs
Manage dogs progress through programs with their rescue coordinators
Routing new inquiries to the appropriate volunteer teams
Flagging time-sensitive or urgent needs
Organizing records and submitted updates
Maintaining efficiency, data, timelines and internal notes current
You Might Be a Fit If You...
Think in systems, as in you see the big picture and the steps it takes to get there
Care deeply about dog rescue and want to support it from the inside
Know how to move information smoothly across people and systems
Understand when to escalate and when to follow through
